Factsheets
Age Concern and Help the Aged in Scotland produces over 40 comprehensive factsheets designed to answer many of the questions older poeple - or those advising them - may have.
Our factsheets won the Plain English Campaign Award in 2004:
The clear, large font used for these factsheets is perfect for the audience. They use direct, yet non-patronising language to convey the relevant information. This is vital at a time when the reader may be preoccupied and not be able to give the matter they are facing their full attention. In the words of the person who nominated these factsheets, they are "very clearly laid out and written in easily understood language".
A full list of the factsheets can be found here, where they can be downloaded.
Single copies of the factsheets are available from The Scottish Helpline for Older People on 0845 125 9732.
